What is malignant mesothelioma?
Mesothelioma, better known as malignant mesothelioma is a form of cancer that affects people who have been exposed to asbestos through working in an environment where they breathed in the asbestos particles, or they lived in a home with asbestos. Many people may have lived in an environment with asbestos particles floating around and never knew it.
Malignant mesothelioma normally starts out in the chest; one breathes in the sharp hooked particles-look like fish hooks when viewed under a microscope-however asbestos fibers can be ingested with food and drink.
The most common form of mesothelioma is plural mesothelioma. Asbestos particles are inhaled, the particles hook into the lungs. From there the particles slowly work their way to infiltrate the plural lining, which is the sac that contains the lungs. The patient cannot excrete these fibers; they stay within the body, because they are durable.
The body tries to fight the foreign particles that have taken up residence in the body. The asbestos particles cause irritation and as a result cancerous tumors start to develop. The plural form of the disease is very aggressive.
If you have been diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma, you have a cancer of the serous membranes, which are the membranes of glandular cells that secrete serous fluid. Serous membranes in the plural cavity allow the lungs to proceed with inhalation and expiration smoothly without friction. Many people have the have the disease, or know someone that has the disease have the misconception that mesothelioma is a primary do of lung cancer, but it isn’t. The cancerous tumors develop in the plural cavity. As the tumors grow there is less space in the plural cavity and the lungs become compressed. With lung compression comes respiratory failure.
What is peritoneal mesothelioma?
Peritoneal mesothelioma is cancer of the lining, the serous membranes, of the abdominal cavity. The serous membranes line the cavity and also line the organs. The serous membranes that cover the organs is also called the viscera, or visceral membranes. Peritoneal mesothelioma is the second most common type of mesothelioma. The cause of peritoneal mesothelioma is not clearly understood; however, it is believed the asbestos fibers get to the abdominal cavity two different ways.
It is believed that when a person inhales the asbestos fibers that over time the fibers break apart into smaller particles and find their way into circulation, and then as the blood vessels become smaller the particles work their way through the vessels and into different areas of the body. One such place is the peritoneum, but mesothelioma can develop in the testicles and other parts of the body.
The other theory is that the home is infiltrated with asbestos particles. When the person works in an environment the particles are all over the clothes and float in the air on dust particles. The kitchen are can become loaded with floating particles, and the particles can also determine on plates, glasses and silverware. It is believed that a person can ingest the particles. When they do swallow the asbestos particles they work their plot through the stomach lining and invade the lining of the abdomen and the lining of the organs. Once the particles become lodged the peritoneal cavity they cause chronic irritation and then the tumors begin to grow.
What is testicular mesothelioma?
Mesothelioma of the testicles is a rare form. It is believed that asbestos fibers travel from the stomach to the peritoneum and through to the testicles, because the lining of the testicles is an out-pouching of the abdominal peritoneal lining.
Misconceptions.
Mesothelioma is sometimes called asbestos lung cancer, or asbestosis. Both terms are incorrect. Mesothelioma is not lung cancer, the disease does not cause tumors in the lungs. The tumors are in the plural lining that surrounds the lungs and compresses them until the patient goes into respiratory failure.
Asbestosis is caused by the inhalation of asbestos fibers. They become stuck in the lungs and cause irritation, but does not cause cancerous tumors. This is a very serious lung disease that mimics the symptoms of asthma and emphysema. It is not to be confused with mesothelioma. As the cancer develops in the peritoneum, the serous membranes rapidly secretes fluid into the abdominal station, which causes pain and discomfort as the organs become compressed. Patients are often symptomatic for approximately 6 months before a diagnosis of peritoneal mesothelioma is made.
Staging.
There is no staging system specific to mesothelioma; however, the staging is the same as is done with other forms of cancer, which is the TNM system-(T) tumor, (N) lymph nodes, (M) metastasis. The first stage (Tumor) indicates a lesion that has developed into a tumor. The second stage (Lymph Nodes) indicates that the tumors are contained within the organ surfaces and the lining of the abdomen. The third stage (Metastasis) indicates cancer cells are leaving the tumor and invading other organs of the body. Once metastasis has occurred the disease is difficult to treat.
Prognosis and treatment.
Treatment of mesothelioma depends on the location and stage, and it also depends on the condition of the patient, because patients are often told their survival rate is between 8 and 12 months. Although there are special cancer centers around the country that do have better statistics. There are three types of treatments to treat mesothelioma: surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Very often it takes more than one form of treatment, such as surgery with radiation or chemotherapy with radiation. Surgery normally does not remove all of the cancer from the body. Time is of the essence in the prognosis and treatment of mesothelioma. When the cancer has metastasized to other organs it is mighty more difficult to treat.

Are you having signs or symptoms of cancer? Being aware of signs and symptoms of cancer can help one to have successful treatment if he/she seeks medical attention right away. Whether minor or major, any symptom or sign that gets worse or continues for a long period of time needs to be brought to your doctor’s medical attention. There are several places that are more than happy to provide support and information about cancer.
Signs and symptoms are important components in detecting cancer. Cancer is made up of a combination of diseases, which can cause various symptoms and signs. Depending on the location, size, and how it is affecting tissues and organs, cancer will prevail certain signs and symptoms that warn humans of a serious health problem. Cancers that have spread may cause signs and symptoms to appear in several places on the body. Although, cancers, such as that in the pancreas, sometimes show no symptoms until it has become large enough and then puts pressure on nearby organs and nerves. Sadly, by the time this happens, the cancer has become a major threat. Because of matters like this, it is important for you to visit your doctor regularly, and never ignore signs or symptoms. After all, even if there is no cancer, your doctor will be able to fetch the cause of your symptoms and better your health.
Signs and symptoms range from minor to major. Minor signs and symptoms are not to be underestimated, because they can be linked to cancer, especially if they last an extended amount of time or gain worse. Some examples of general signs and symptoms that may be caused by cancer include:
Unexplained Weight Loss- This is often one of the first signs of cancer. If one loses 10 or more pounds for no reason he/she should be checked for cancer. Unexplained weight loss happens frequently with cancers of the lungs, esophagus, or stomach.
Fatigue- If one is often extremely tired and sees that rest is not easing the problem, he/she should see a doctor. This symptom can become critical as the cancer grows. Fatigue often occurs early in cancers such as leukemia. Also, Cancers that cause blood loss (stomach or colon) also cause fatigue.
Fever- This is probably the most common designate of cancer because all patients having cancer will have fever eventually. Lymphoma and Leukemia (blood cancers) can sometimes start with fever.
Pain- Pain symptoms are common with testicular and bone cancers. If one gets a headache that lasts a long time or won’t go away, it is possible that he/she may have a brain tumor, which can lead to cancer. Cancers, such as, rectum, colon, or ovary can cause assist pain. This symptom often develops when cancer has spread from its original dwelling.
Skin changes- This is a notice or symptom that can be seen. Visible changes often include: Jaundice (yellowish eyes and/or skin), hyper-pigmentation (darker skin), Erythema (reddened skin), Pruritis (itching), and excessive hair growth.
Although minor, if these signs and symptoms worsen or last for a long time, it is important to get the attention one’s health deserves.
Major symptoms and signs of cancer are ones that are common. It is crucial that one gets doctors help for these symptoms. Some major (common) signs and symptoms include:
Sores that appear not toheal – Skin cancers often behold like sores. The sores will often bleed and don’t heal. Oral cancers sometimes result with sores in your mouth for a long period of time, especially in people who chew tobacco, smoke, or drink alcohol frequently. Sores may also be early signs of cancer or infection when appearing in one’s private areas.
Unusual discharge or bleeding – This symptom occurs in the advanced or early stages of cancer. Blood appearing in phlegm may be lung cancer. A stool with blood in it may be caused by rectal or colon cancer. Abnormal bleeding of the vagina may be cancer. Blood in urine may be caused by bladder or kidney cancer.
Patches of white in the mouth or a tongue with white spots – This symptom may be Leukoplakia, often irritation caused by tobacco products. Most at risk are the tobacco users that use spit tobacco or smoke pipes. One should be checked if this symptom occurs for a long period of time because it can turn into cancer.
Lump or thickening in the breast area or other body parts – Once can often feel this type of cancer through the skin. Soft tissues are often subject to this type of symptom including: lymph nodes, testicles, and breasts. Lumps can grow.
Change is bladder function or bowel movements – Colon cancer often causes diarrhea, major change in stool size, and long-term constipation. Bladder and prostate cancer can cause hurt when urinating, causing urine with blood, or the need to urinate more or less than usual.
New changes to a mole, wart, or the skin – A doctor is necessary if one notices a change in size, shape, color, or the loss of the border of a freckle, wart, or mole. Melanoma is a skin change that may be successfully treated if found early.
Trouble swallowing or indigestion – These problems may be the cause of cancer in/on the esophagus, throat, or stomach.
Irritable hoarseness or cough – this could be a cough that lasts a long time and dosen’t't seem to go away, as sometimes seen with lung cancer. Cancer of the larynx (insist box) or thyroid gland may cause hoarseness.
One noticing any of these major changes or other changes of the body should seek medical attention. There are several places one can go for abet. Cancer Care has a website, www.cancercare.org, where one can glean information about cancer and procure support for his/herself or family members that already have it. Their toll-free number is 1-800-813-4673. The National Cancer Institute is another place that also provides accurate information concerning cancer to the public and patients. Their website is www.cancer.gov, and their toll free number is 1-800-422-6237. Lastly, the American cancer Society can provide support and information. One can contact them at www.cancer.org, or 1-800-227-2345. Treatment works better in the early stages which is why one should not ignore signs and symptoms.
If someone believes signs or symptoms of cancer are noticeable it is important that one gets the medical help necessary to detect the cause of your signs and/or symptoms whether it is cancer or something else. Being provided the information about some of the most common signs and symptoms one has a better chance of detecting the cancer at its prime and has a better chance of fighting it. Do not ignore signs and symptoms; they could result in life changing consequences.

I apologize to those who have read so many vaccine articles, but there is so much interesting and scary history in what has occurred since their release to the public, I believe it should be looked at closely. So many different forms of evidence and what appears to be associations with vaccines and new problems plaguing society, it is easy to dismiss one as coincidence, but after a while we must begin to question the statistics of repeated coincidence as becoming more probable and less possible.
We all know the astounding success of the Polio vaccine. Within a couple years of the release of the polio vaccine and widespread delivery of this new vaccine, the numbers dropped form tens of thousands of cases per year to a few hundred, and eventually to just a few, each caused by the vaccine itself, but the benefit obviously outweighed the risk. however, there is an interesting correlation between the history of polio and vaccines, specifically other vaccines. In the past I have heard many research doctors and statisticians insist of a correlation between polio outbreaks and recent vaccines, but could never find the data to show it, so I did my own search to see for myself, and have posted the results here.
In the history of Polio and vaccines, Polio was in existence before vaccines but cases of polio were rare. however once vaccines came into the scene, things changed. Examine closely the correlation between the polio outbreaks and vaccine releases.
In 1890 the first Tetanus and Diphtheria vaccines were released, in 1896 the typhoid vaccine and 1897 the Bubonic Plague vaccine was introduced. In 1894 was the first ever outbreak of polio in the U.S., the numbers were small, but it was an outbreak. The subsequent years, the incidence of Polio continued to climb. by 1909 Massachusetts began counting reported cases of Polio, in 1916 we suffered a large outbreak with 9000 cases in New York City alone.
New vaccines: 1926 Pertussis, 1927 TB, 1932 Yellow Fever.
In 1932 another major outbreak of Polio with 2500 cases in Los Angeles alone.
Here is where it really gets arresting and becomes difficult to narrow down the causation, if the correlation between the Polio Outbreaks and vaccines is more than coincidence. Because the Tetanus vaccine was stronger back then, and was required more frequently, (I acquire it was originally required annually or at least biannually), it appears that perhaps the Tetanus vaccine alone could have been a catalyst in Polio outbreaks, or perhaps it is a culmination of more and more vaccines being released, as the numbers of polio cases continue to rise from a once rare problem to a threatening epidemic that won’t go away, (sounds like autism doesn’t it). Now enter the year 1945!
In 1945 the first influenza vaccine was invented, and also during W.W.II the Tetanus vaccine was used vigorously, more so perhaps than any other time in history. Now, from 1945 through 1949 the largest Polio outbreak ever in the U.S. occurs with over 20,000 cases per year. Suddenly Polio became a major concern.
In 1952 the Polio vaccine was released, and in 1952 there were 58,000 cases of Polio.
The major outbreak in Polio immediately following the vaccine should be no surprise, we know that for at least the past 4 decades, every case of polio in the U.S. was caused by the Polio vaccine itself, and even the CDC acknowledges this. Most cases have been caused by the live virus vaccine given to one person, like a baby, then an unvaccinated parent would contract polio through diaper changing or other contact.
We also know that the Polio vaccine appears statistically to have nearly eliminated polio, but with the shriek correlation of polio outbreaks with the introduction of other vaccines, one should be asking, where did polio reach from? Is it pure coincidence that Polio was a rare illness throughout history until vaccines began to be used in a widespread program? Why did Polio simply choose the exact same time frame of vaccine releases to raise it’s ugly head?
It is also a well known fact that the Polio vaccine was later discovered to have contained the Simian Virus 40, (SV40), a cancer causing virus that estimates range from 20 million to hundreds of millions of people could have been infected with, while the best guess estimate is roughly 98 million people that could die from cancer due to the Polio vaccine. This virus has been found in Mesothelioma, brain cancers, and other cancers.
If we are to be honest, and understanding that vaccines for the most part are injected and therefore bypass the bodies primary defense mechanism, we should look at these figures and ask, where did Polio come from? The outbreaks seems to follow concisely with the introduction of specific vaccines. If Polio were not associated with these vaccines, then why was polio not a major epidemic at any time in history before. Yes, Polio was heard of and did exist, but not in outbreaks or epidemics. Is it because vaccines weaken the immune system and leave us vulnerable to other viral and bacterial problems that were never before a major problem? Or is injecting animal tissue and other harmful ingredients into the human body causing damage that is allowing or perhaps even perpetuating a disease like polio.
If the correlation between polio outbreaks and vaccines is accurate, then many people suffered from polio instead of getting the measles, flu, perhaps tetanus, (and I am not downgrading the seriousness of tetanus), and with the introduction of SV40 and other before unheard of virus’s into the human anatomy, now potentially hundreds of millions of people will die of cancer instead of developing a natural immunity to the measles or instead of suffering a few days with the flu.
In the end, the Polio vaccine was a life saver and gave peace to millions of people as Polio seems to status on the horizon as the even sun does, but what people do not realize is the possibility that Polio, Guillian Barre Syndrome, Encephylitis, autism and many other problems have apparently been aggravated, if not caused by the release of other vaccines. Maybe we don’t know everything there is to know, and like so many other area’s of science as we have learned from the past, there are things we don’t know that do afflict us. Or are we so arrogant as to believe we know more than God and we cannot possibly be wrong.

Sometimes it is said things are more comfortable within a storm. During the storm chaos is the ruler of all that is but afterward a person is faced with quiet and therefore has to face him/herself and that can extinguish up being the real challenge. In the case of a cancer diagnosis, the storm of learning of the condition and the testing that follows is the easy part. Living with the decisions afterward can be the facing of ones self.
There is a lot of talk these days about cancer awareness and groups all over the nation hope to encourage people to face themselves after the storm that can be caused by cancer. The effort is so that during the quiet aftermath there can unexcited remain hope.
Cancer is still one of the leading killer diseases in the United States. Lung cancer alone is reported to be responsible for approximately 500,000 deaths a year. According to the American Cancer Society, despite advances in technology and medicine, cancer still remains a disease that touches at least two households in every five.
For Stacy Martin of Aberdeen cancer has been a fact of life within her family for five years.
“I was horrified to discover that I had it,” Stacy said. “I remember sitting down on the bathroom floor and crying. I just knew that it meant that I was going to die. Now I realize that having cancer doesn’t necessarily mean that you are going to die.”
Stacy is now a breast cancer survivor and encourages her family and friends to get yearly check ups.
“I found a lump in my breast by accident when I should have been checking all along,” Stacy said. “Knowing what checking is all about and being aware of the pain is half the battle. People have to know the risks. Knowing your history is one of the first steps. Had I known that my aunt had breast cancer I might have been more prepared for the possibility of my getting it.”
According to the American Cancer Society there are many risk factors that can enhance your chances of developing some form of cancer. The following are a few things to consider;
Tobacco – Cigarette smoking is one of the leading causes of death in the US. Lung cancer is not the only cancer that smoking is attributed to either, bladder and kidney cancer can be caused by smoking also.
Alcohol – Cancer related to alcohol consumption is responsible for 6.5 percent of all cancer deaths. The risk of esophageal cancer is 11-18 times higher for drinkers.
Sunlight – Skin cancer began to increase significantly during the 1950’s. Skin cancer accounts for 39 percent of all cancers diagnosed.
Diet – Science is beginning to build the connection between diet and distinct types of cancer. Carcinogens are known to be present in foods that are preserved. Carcinogens are believed to be key in the development of stomach cancer.
More and more cancer is becoming a disease that many families are being faced with. Fighting this disease begins with an awareness of the types of cancers a person may be more at risk to beget, it is here the need for awareness is most gargantuan. Locally there are many resources to relieve both men and women seek testing and treatment on a cancer diagnosis. There are also support groups such as Reach for Recovery through the Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. Whatever your situation, whether you are unbiased becoming aware of a possible cancer threat within your family history or if you just are concerned and would like to ask questions, don’t hesitate to look for answers. The first step in combating this terrible disease is awareness of what it is and what you can do to cut your risk in developing it.

A Radio Ad By An Asbestos Mesothelioma Attorney
I was listening to a favorite talk radio program on my car radio, something I do in my role as a hospice chaplain. A law firm’s radio commercial featured a commentator asking if I possibly had an asbestos mesothelioma upright claim.
Perhaps you are someone who has never heard of an asbestos disease called mesothelioma. Up to that point, neither had I, but soon I continually heard references to peritoneal mesothelioma whenever that same commercial played, usually sever times a day.
The Announcer asked “Do you have a asbestos mesothelioma upright claim? “
Perhaps you have heard the ad too, if you listen to the radio or watch TV. Of course, it could be one of those advertisements we usually don’t listen to unless we have peritoneal mesothelioma or know someone who does.
But there were enough catch words on that particular lawyer’s radio ad to lift my attention. Words such as asbestos, asbestos exposure, and remodeling and construction.
It occurred to me that those in the legal profession must be making money by locating people with exposure to peritoneal mesothelioma and convincing them to file an asbestos mesothelioma accurate claim.
Later I found out that mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is usually caused by exposure to asbestos at some time in a person’s life. What happens is that malignant cells develop in the mesothelium, which is a protective lining that covers most of the body’s internal organs.
While those who develop mesothelioma have worked in careers where they inhaled asbestos particles, usually in the construction field. But anyone of us could have been exposed to asbestos dust and fibers in other ways. Exposure may have been through the simple task of washing the clothes of a family member who worked with asbestos.
I Began To Wonder If I Had Mesothelioma Asbestos Exposure
My guess is that I have been exposed to asbestos, as have you, most likely. Hey, if you attended school in an old building or attended savor services in an older church facility, who knows the air quality dangers that must have existed.
Even the home we were renting in San Diego at the time Iheard that mesothelioma advertisement prompted concerns about my own mesothelioma asbestos exposure. That’s because our landlord let us know that he decided not to replace the tile flooring in the bathroom due to the risk of asbestos exposure!
Then I conception back to when I was remodeling fixer-upper houses in an attempt to survive financially in a very coarse paying pastoral assignment. I know there was asbestos in one old house I remodeled in Bellingham, Washington. It had asbestos siding that I removed to put in a new window.
Benefit to the asbestos mesothelioma lawsuit commercial, this thought came to mind: How many of us have scraped off a popcorn ceiling as a remodeling project? Now while I avoided that particular task, my wife and mother-in-law smooth won’t forgive me for sticking them with the job of scraping off the popcorn ceilings in our home in Bellingham, Washington!
Since most of us did not take the precautions we should have in our do it yourself projects, does that mean we are at risk? And should I write down that lawyer’s number honest in case we need to file an asbestos mesothelioma fair claim?
After listening to that radio ad about play incessantly for several months, I did gather some website information about peritoneal mesothelioma, even if I couldn’t spell it without looking, let alone pronounce it right!
My guess is that there were many who could not spell the term, because the announcer spelled out “mesothelioma” just to make sure we listeners had some belief how to write it out if in the event that someone did have an asbestos mesothelioma legal claim.
Asbestos Lawyer Specializing in Mesothelioma Lawsuits What an effective advertisement. Here I am thinking about asbestos disease mesothelioma and wondering if I too, should worry about mesothelioma asbestos exposure.
But then again, maybe the ad wasn’t that good, because I can’t remember the lawyer making the fair advertisement in case I have a asbestos mesothelioma lawsuit or a mesothelioma legal claim.

Father’s Day is a joyous time for most families, as they honor their father with gifts and other ways to show dad how much he is loved and appreciated. But for those of us whose father has passed on, Father’s Day can bring a sense of sadness and loss. Yet there are ways that we can composed honor our deceased father on Father’s Day.
Visit Him
Take a trip down memory lane by going to one of your father’s favorite places. Perhaps he had a favorite fishing spot, from which many “fish stories” originated. Maybe he had a favorite place he liked to walk, to golf, or a favorite restaurant. Go to this favorite place of dad’s and he will be walking right along side of you.
Visit your father’s final place of rest. Take white flowers, which is the symbol of a deceased loved one. There are also many nice plaques and statuettes available at monument companies, garden centers and retail stores in the garden department that sing love for a departed loved one. You may want to honor dad by placing one of these at his final place of rest. Use time there; update dad on everything positive going on with you and the family.
Cook For Him
One thing about dads is that they savor to eat. On this Father’s Day, prepare dinner with all dads’ favorites, right down to his celebrated dessert. Don’t forget to set a dwelling for him at the table, because he will be there. Perhaps family members can go around the table and tell him of a special or just fun memory they have of time spent with him. If that is too much for your family, then spend some quiet time with dad to tell him how much you fancy him on Father’s Day and every day.
Give For Him
If dad had a favorite charity, consider a donation to that charity in his memory. If dad died of a specific disease or medical condition such as a heart attack, judge a donation to the American Heart Association. If he died of cancer, mesothelioma, COPD or diabetes, then a donation in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation, American Lung Association, or American Diabetes Association would be a nice gesture. But when considering a charity, only give to well-known, reputable charities. Many of the scams easily fool people these days.
Plant a Tree for Him
Now is the time when garden centers have a unbelievable selection of trees, perfect to plant in the back yard in memory of dad. Believe a small plaque at the base of the tree with dad’s name and that it is to honor him on Father’s Day.
However you choose to honor your deceased father on Father’s Day, there is no wrong way, and he will surely be looking down smiling, knowing that his child is such a astounding, loving person.

Along the organs there is a protective lining that is critical. It is a “filter” that keeps things like acids, inflatration, and other hazards out. This is the mesothelium. Even though the mesothelium is very thin it is also quite strong. The mesotheliem is used to get the critical body cavities to produce fluids that provide slick protection for cells and fluid transport.
The mesothelium layer is also important for the function of the lungs. By preserving the proper amount of liquid on the surface of the lungs they help them from collapsing.
Because of the importance of the mesothelium layer it comes to no surprise that diseases affecting it can be devastating. If diseases attack the mesothelium layer you are left with a weakened protection layer surrounding all of your vital organs. This can lead to serious malfunction of all of the vital organs.
Mesothelioma is form of cancer. It has a definitive cause, unlike most other cancers, this is asbestos. Asbestos is a stone that has been used in many industrial scenarios. By being exposed to asbestos over a long period of time you can develop mesothelioma. Mesothelioma turns the once protective layer of the mesothlium to swell, damaging the organs.
There is more than one type of mesothelioma cancer. Pleura mesthelioma is a condition where the swelling of the mesthelium occurs around the lungs. While peritoneal mesothelioma attacks the lower abdomen and tunica vaginalis.
It is important to find mesothelioma as early as possible. However mesothlioma makes this more difficult than it sounds. It takes decades for mesothelioma to show its hand and may only display up ten to fifteen years after the exposure to asbestos. Detecting mesothelioma earlier is a very important area of research.
It is critical that if you work with asbestos that you acquire regular visits with your doctor for CAT scans to check for weird growths. This will help the doctor focus his efforts on administrating the right relief. This is important in order to prevent malignant mesothelioma.
There are many free resources to take advantage of. Not only do many websites have detailed descriptions of what to expect with mesothelioma treatment but there are many societies that exist to provide attend for mesothelioma patients. Taking your time absorbing as much information as possible will encourage you make the right decisions for your health.
There are also many legal firms that will do work for you on a no come by, no fee basis. You can also find plenty of information concerning the legal side of mesothelioma from website resources.

Asbestos is a mineral fiber that was widely faded in construction, manufacturing and industry. Though its use has largely been limited since the 1980’s, many products and buildings utilizing the insulating properties of asbestos are still in use today and may be aerosolized through utilize, removal or demolition. In addition, those alive to in manufacturing, construction and industries which employed large scale use of asbestos are only now seeing the results of acute or chronic asbestos exposure including the development of asbestosis or the much more serious malignant condition of mesothelioma.
Malignant mesothelioma is a cancer that develops in the pleural (lung) cavity lining, the peritoneal (abdominal) cavity lining or the pericardial (heart) cavity lining. All are difficult to treat, requiring possible surgery, radiation and chemotherapy and even with treatment; all have a poor prognosis, often resulting in death. Because of the seriousness of these disorders, recognizing risks factors of exposure and symptoms is vital and seeking diagnosis, advice and treatment immediately is absolutely essential.
Risk Factors
Occupational risk factors for the development of asbestos related mesothelioma include being or having been employed in any of the following occupations which utilized asbestos in production of materials or insulation:
Construction – including both residential and commercial widely obsolete asbestos in materials
Metal Works – including steel, aluminum, iron workers along with power plant and railroad workers
Mining – including asbestos mining but also talc, vermiculite and dolomite
Pipe Fitting – including power plants and oil refineries along with pipe fitting for other high heat processes
Ship Building – particularly during WWII and Korean War but also including ship crew members who may have been exposed to asbestos in confined conditions
Factory Work – manufacture of construction materials of all types
Auto Work – auto manufacturing and repair, particularly brake parts and engine gaskets containing asbestos
Demolition – including those involved in or near intentional or unintentional demolition of buildings constructed with asbestos, along with asbestos removal projects
Symptoms
Unfortunately for many, mesothelioma may take years to compose and not be recognized as related to work hazards. Symptoms of mesothelioma may include: Pleural Mesothelioma – dry raspy cough, coughing up blood, distress swallowing, fever, night sweats, weight loss, fatigue, painful chest, grief breathing, lumps under the skin of the chest, Peritoneal Mesothelioma - swollen or painful abdomen, changes in bowel habits, nausea or vomiting, anemia, fatigue, fever or night sweats, weight loss, lumps under abdominal skin, and
Pericardial Mesothelioma - heart palpitations, chest pain, trouble breathing, fever or night sweats, fatigue
Anyone who is suffering from symptoms of mesothelioma or other asbestos related disease should seek medical serve immediately. The sooner diagnosis is obtained and treatment is started, the better chance for a hopeful outcome. Unfortunately, some may feel the cost of medical treatment is too high and avoid seeking help. In any case of asbestos-related disease, particularly one as serious as mesothelioma, legal advice should be obtained along with medical advice. A consultation with a lawyer will provide the best possibility of getting appropriate treatment as soon as possible and may even save a life.
Getting a diagnosis of mesothelioma can be a shocking experience for both the patient and family members alike. Benefit organizations such as the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation can be a good source of information regarding diagnosis, medical issues and treatment options. Additionally, they may provide comfort and support through the use of chat rooms, message boards and forums which may be of benefit to family members and patients.

This is a review of the Acuherbal Physician who saved my life and the life of my husband. Mengke Kou L.Ac MD is a wonderful man who has a local Acuherbal clinic here in Portland, Oregon, located at 725 NE 102 Ave. Suite A. A dear friend who knew of my health issues recommended him to my family. I have suffered a severe heart attack in 1989 and have had 14 heart angioplasties and angiograms. Having had four stents placed in October 2007 in my heart. I suffer from diabetes and have a lymphoma on my lower spine. Not to mention I was almost 90 lbs overweight.
I visited Dr. Kou and reported to him that while my husband had been in Iraq my blood sugars were ranging in the 200 to 300 point. He smiled and said, “No problem I have just what you need.” With his magic mixture and he supplements I have lost 70 pounds of weight and my blood sugars are so gross that I no longer steal insulin and have dropped my metformin down to 500 MG a day. I have cut my pain medication by 2/3rds for the tumor and am actually walking 3 miles a day.
This man is a saint in my family’s notion. When my husband Harry was diagnosed with Stage III Type 4 Terminal Malignant Melanoma Dr. Kou put his magic to work. After an extensive Lymph node surgery to remove 26 nodes, my husband came down with an infection in the incision area. Dr. Kou stale acupuncture, which he fondly called the Dragon Tail and some external herb mixture that was put on the area twice a day. Within 3 days, the infection began to drain and my husband did not need hospitalization. Harry’s PET scan’s and CAT scan’s have been clean since his completion of his Intron III Chemo treatment. Dr. Kou mixed up a nice batch of medicinal herbs that helped Harry to cope with the side effects of the Chemo and he was able to keep up his eating habits, weight and remain active while in treatment.
We truly owe our lives to this fabulous doctor and recommend him to anyone who is having problems with the treatment of western medicine. Dr. Kou will not tell you to finish seeing your doctor; in fact, he will request that you continue your western medical treatment. What he will do is incorporate his medicinal herb medications with your treatment plan. He will work with your physician to find the best method of treatment for his patient.
